Greetings
Hello! I am a photographer, filmmaker, musician and writer currently residing in Las Vegas, where I have lived since late 2018. I spent most of my life in metro New York before heading west in 2017, making pit stops in Colorado and Idaho before landing in NV. Aside form raising a family, I have spent most of my adult life involved in a multitude of interests, based around my two core passions: Creative Art and Nature. My love of the wilderness has taken me around the country and been the inspiration behind most of what I do, where I go, who I'm with, etc... On this website, you can find samples of my work, including photography, videography, filmmaking, and music.
Photography
Photography, for me, began and grew simultaneously with my desire to get deeper into the wilderness. The bond I felt with the mountains, forests, streams and deserts I explored became spiritual for me, and I felt compelled to best capture the beauty around me and to preserve the emotion I was feeling being there. As I became more familiar with the camera, I ventured into the realm of portrait and headshot photography, shooting headshots for local actors in New York. I enjoy doing location portraits, using natural light, showcasing the environment along with the subject. Recently, I have been diving into real estate photography, where I can use my creative eye to best capture a given space. I am available for both real estate and portrait photography.
Video/Film
This journey began for me as a community theater actor on Long Island, performing mostly obscure or local original work. This afforded me the opportunity to venture onto the production side as well, writing and directing my own original work. Once I arrived in Las Vegas, I immediately sought to make the transition from stage to screen. I received roles in a couple indie films before going behind the camera as writer/director for my own film, The Factory, which is in post-production. During this time, I've also become familiar with cinematography and video editing, at times operating the camera for my own movie, and filming scenes for fellow actor's reels.
Music
Music started it all off for me. My love of heavy metal began when I first heard Black Sabbath as a 9 year old in 1976. Through my teens I amassed a record collection into the hundreds, along with picking up the guitar. At around 22 I put together my first metal band with local friends and immediately began writing original music. This band continued, off and on, with a couple of name changes, for almost 30 years. We recorded one CD and had many other songs that never made it to the studio. During this time period I also gained a love of both New Age and classical music, which led me to composing and recording of original pieces which meld together different genres of music. I also spent some time in an acoustic folk rock duo playing original music as well.
